How I Met Your Mother Ends Tomorrow: Theories

How I Met Your Mother has only two episodes left until it’s nine year run comes to an end. As we’re winding down, people the internet is abuzz with theories about how it will end. How will they meet? What’s her name? What will the final episode be like? But one question that doesn’t seem to be as important in many people’s mind is one that  I’ve recently learned is pretty important: Why is Ted telling this story? I had never thought of that. It can’t just be because he wants his kids to know. Forcing them to sit on a couch for ten years is a little much for a random origin story. But it’s this question that we have to keep in mind when thinking about how the story will end, and what think is the reason he’s telling it.

Now, these theories are purely speculation, and I have in no way heard that any of these are actually fact. But it will be interesting to see if they are, because I think it will end the show with a bang, and give it the strong ending it deserves. Continue reading

Tragic Death Strikes in This Week’s Teen Wolf

Teen_Wolf_Season_3_Main_Cast_S3B_Credit_Matthew_Welch_cropped

The promos for MTV’s “Teen Wolf” have been hinting toward a death for a few weeks now, but I don’t think anybody expected it to be one of the main characters. Warning, there are obviously spoilers beyond this point. So if you don’t wanna know who dies I strongly recommend skipping over this post.

Psych Announces Its Final Episodes

psych-season-8-back-end

Following their win on our Tuesday Top Five’ favorite bromances, we got some sad news involving the futures of Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster. The most shocking part about last nights episode of “Psych” wasn’t Gus quitting his job, or the death of the Blueberry, but rather the knowledge of the show’s future fans were forced to watch with. The Truth About the Bromance

Screen shot 2014-01-25 at 7.11.15 PM

What is a bromance? We hear the word constantly now a days. It’s thrown around like “chemistry”, and it’s often affiliated with the friendship between two guys. But what is it really? Wikipedia calls it: “a close non-sexual relationship between two men, a form of affectional or homosocial intimacy.” So basically, two guys are so close that their not just friends, they’re on, like, a whole other level. But the lines can be pretty blurred when it comes to the true definition. Continue reading

Goodbye, Matt Smith

Doctor-Who-Matt-Smith

“We all change. When you think about it, we’re all different people all through our lives, and that’s okay, that’s good, you’ve got to keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear.”                                                     – The Doctor Continue reading

Psych Pulls Off A Wonderful Musical Special

psych

Have yourself a very psychic Christmas. Following closely behind the Doctor Who Christmas Special, “Psych The Musical” has held the number spot on the December specials I’m excited for list for a while. Keep in mind, I’ve only been a fan for a few months now. But I feel like I’ve been watching it for years. I got through all six seasons they had on Netflix fairly quickly because of how entertaining and addictive the relationships were. And with its silliness and the adorable pokes at themselves, “Psych: the Musical” was well worth the wait. Continue reading

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ in Danger?

822x

Is our favorite super, secret, superhero, spy team in danger? It’s been but a few weeks since the series premier of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, and TV critics alike are seeing a downward spiral in the future of the show. This week, Ryan Faughnder of the LA Times reported that ratings fell 12% in the 18-49 year-old demographic, leading to a 2.2 rating, the lowest yet. So here’s the question: is one of the most sought after shows of 2013 doomed to end up a one hit wonder?

I hope not.

A First Look at ‘Ravenswood’

Ravenswood

We’ve seen glimpses of the town of Ravenswood in this past season of Pretty Little Liars, but the mystery of this Hitchcock-esque town is continuing in ABC Family’s new show. Named after the town itself, this show follows PLL’s Caleb Rivers to the town as he searches for the answers to a bunch of different mysteries. It could skyrocket to fame, it could flop, we really have no idea at this point. But either way, let’s take a look at the first impressions of the show that aired Tuesday night.

Why Sam’s Season 9 Development is Already Heart Breaking

We can all breathe guys. Supernatural has finally started up with its regular schedule again. Last week’s premier showed a lot of promise, and with Tuesday night’s episode I am pretty confident in saying that this season is going to rock. Like episode one says, “I think I’m gonna like it here”.

The last few seasons of Supernatural had me worried. I still loved it, and I watched like crazy, but the plot wasn’t as riveting as they had been. Season 5 was the peak of its storyline, and I feel like it has been steadily getting a little less interesting. This season, though, seems like they’re moving in a whole different direction. No more of the plain demon hunting or angel fighting. They’ve added a little bit of spice to the life of the Winchester brothers. Especially to Sam’s character development.
